Ecosystem
생태계(生態系, 영어: ecosystem)는 상호작용하는 유기체들과 또 그들과 서로 영향을 주고받는 주변의 무생물 환경을 묶어서 부르는 말이다. 생태계를 연구하는 학문을 생태학(ecology)이라고 한다. 같은 곳에 살면서 서로 의존하는 유기체 집단이 완전히 독립된 체계를 이루면 이를 '생태계'라고 부를 수 있다. 이 말은 곧 상호의존성과 완결성이 하나의 생태계를 이루는 데 꼭 필요한 요소라는 뜻이다. 하나의 생태계 안에 사는 유기체들은 먹이사슬을 통해 서로 밀접하게 연관되어 있는 경우가 많다. 이 먹이사슬을 통해 영양 물질이 여러 유기체에 걸쳐 순환하고 에너지도 같이 이동하는데, 이런 과정을 거치는 동안 다양한 생태계가 생겨난다.
An ecosystem is a community of living organisms (plants, animals and microbes) in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment (things like air, water and mineral soil), interacting as a system. These biotic and abiotic components are regarded as linked together through nutrient cycles and energy flows. As ecosystems are defined by the network of interactions among organisms, and between organisms and their environment, they can be of any size but usually encompass specific, limited spaces(although some scientists say that the entire planet is an ecosystem).
모든 식물과 동물은 생태계 안에서 살아간다. 생태계는 대부분의 생산을 담당하는 식물과 그것을 소비하는 동물 그리고 생산자나 소비자 또는 다른 분해자의 사체나 배설물을 분해하고, 이 때 발생하는 에너지를 사용하여 유기물을 무기물로 환원시키는 그룹으로 구성 되어 있다.
All plants and animals live in ecosystem. Plants belong to the producer sector the ecology known as producers in ecosystem and Some survive by eating plant. Other animals eat the plant eating animals. By feeding on plants and on one another, animals play an important role in the movement of matter and energy through the system. They also influence the quantity of plant and microbial biomass present. By breaking down dead organic matter, decomposers release carbon back to the atmosphere and facilitate nutrient cycling by converting nutrients stored in dead biomass back to a form that can be readily used by plants and other microbes.
하지만 현재의 생태계를 조절하고 구성하는 요소로 컴퓨터의 역할이 매우 커지고 있다. 나의 아이디어의 시작은 인간과 식물 그리고 컴퓨터 간의 인터랙션이다. 컴퓨터와 모바일은 인간의 삶을 구성하는 요소로 생활에 필수적인 요소가 되어 신체의 일부분이 되었다. 또 다른 신체성의 발현은 인간의 감각의 확장에 많은 도움을 주고 있다. 이러한 감각의 확장을 하나의 유기체인 식물과의 관계를 통해 또 다른 가능성을 확장해 보고자 한다.
